About
Mission
The purpose of Houghton magazine is to communicate the value and vision of the college, connect and engage alumni with the college and each other, and encourage and inspire readers in their faith, vocation, work and service.
History
The first magazine style publication sent on a large scale to alumni was the Houghton Milieu, first published in December 1970. Dean Liddick ’60 presided as editor over 130 issues. Since then, seven others have served as editor as the magazine has changed in format and design, with the most recent change coming in 2009 when the magazine was renamed Houghton.
Frequency
Houghton magazine is published twice annually and sent to alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Houghton College. The fall/winter issue is published in December and the spring/summer issue is published in June.
Past Issues
Links to past issues can be found on our Archives page. Archived print copies of all issues of Houghton magazine (formerly Milieu) are kept in the Office of Marketing & Communications. If you are looking for a particular issue or story, you may contact the editor at magazine@houghton.edu.
